The AI Weekender - Artificial Intelligence News

There’s currently a lot of buzz and hype around Artificial Intelligence. Often people with a no-tech background ask me what’s important and what’s just noise. That’s why I had the idea a while ago to create The AI Weekender - a simple email briefing, sent out every Friday with a commented link list of 5 interesting articles out of the field. It looks like this:

Bloomberg: Waymo to Start First Driverless Car Service Next Month
Once again, Waymo. The fast-moving Google spin-off is now going live with its service, but, well, kind of. The details are not clear yet, but it seems Waymo is founding a new brand that will make driverless rides available in a 100 square miles area of Phoenix. There is a ramp-up plan in place, meaning that the passengers will at first likely consist of the participants from the Early-Rider program. But, they are relieved off their NDAs, can take other passengers, snap selfies and talk about their experience, so expect media coverage despite the lack of a big media-splash event for the kick-off. Of course, there will gradually be more customers added to the service if everything goes well.

No pictures, no bullshit. Just 5 links and my witty comments on them. Save yourself some time and let me update you on what’s important: get on board the AI Weekender!
